Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the project manager for large-scale projects is responsible for the implementation of large-scale projects led by the Service. More specifically, the incumbent will be tasked with planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of project management for which they are responsible, in accordance with the governance framework for large-scale projects and programs of the City of Laval. They will be responsible for ensuring collaboration among all stakeholders, closely monitoring timelines, and acting as the lead to maximize efficiency in terms of costs, deadlines, scope, and quality of work.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture;
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or the Ordre des architectes du Québec;
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction field, including 5 years in managing large-scale projects corresponding to the following specifications:
- Having significantly participated in a project of $50M or more in present value;
- Having served as project manager for several phases of a large-scale project;
- Having closely collaborated on the startup of a project (needs assessment, preliminary schedule, transfer and management of professional service contracts, etc.);
- Experience in civil engineering is an asset;
- Have a good knowledge of or have significantly participated in a project carried out in an alternative mode, an asset;
- Master the tools of the MS Office suite, including Microsoft Project.
