Automation Designer – Quebec City, QC

From our Quebec office, you will be required to work on varied and stimulating projects , in a relaxed setting where everyone can flourish and develop their skills. As anAutomation Designer, you will be an integral part of a young and dynamic company and will work collaboratively with teams multidisciplinary teams on various projects in the food, pharmaceutical and industrial fields.

Responsibilities:

The chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting our existing team in the design and drawing of control panels, drafting quotes and providing commissioning support.

  • Design and draw industrial control panels;
  • Calculate power circuits for power and control panels;
  • Know the Canadian electrical code (Quebec);
  • Drafting technical specifications for the production of control panels;
  • Knowledge of programming PLCs and operator interfaces is an asset;
  • Technical support during commissioning;
  • Participation in the execution of pharmaceutical validation tests (FAT);

Requirements:

  • College diploma in Industrial Electronics;
  • Have already drawn the diagrams used in Automation: Power supplies, Speed variators, PLC, pneumatics, industrial networks, Material lists, panel “Layouts”, etc…
  • Using Autocad is a requirement, AutoCAD Electrical,
  • Previous internships in the field of pharmaceutical or food consulting engineering,

… or for an automated systems integrator,

… or for a control panel manufacturer;

Qualities sought:

  • Communication ability;
  • Sense of organization and rigor;
  • Ability to work well with other engineering disciplines, the client and manufacturers.
  • Sense of initiative, attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
