Proposal Manager

Do you like being at the heart of the action even before projects come to life? Are you adept at juggling analysis, coordination, writing, and client relations? This role could be perfect for you 👀

Your Role

Reporting to the sales team, you will play a key role in the pre-project phase, coordinating the various stakeholders to build tailored, cost-effective solutions that align with client needs. You will actively contribute to the development of business opportunities, from the initial idea to the transfer to execution.

Specifically, you will:

  • Support the sales team in qualifying and analyzing projects

  • Participate in internal and external meetings related to opportunities

  • Meet with Clients in order to fully understand their needs, define the scope of work, and propose concrete and advantageous solutions

  • Define the scope of work and gather client specifications

  • Read and interpret quotes, technical requirements, and documents provided

  • Plan and coordinate the activities of developing solutions and estimating costs

  • Write comprehensive proposals, both technical and commercial

  • Prepare presentations and sales tools to support business development

  • Ensure the coordination, traceability, and follow-up of communications and documents related to mandates

  • Plan and coordinate the transfer of opportunities to the execution teams

  • Answer customer questions and maintain a lasting relationship of trust

  • Follow up on opportunities in the CRM

  • Stay abreast of market trends

  • Collaborate closely with partners and suppliers

  • Highlight the value proposition and services offered

  • Perform any other related tasks associated with the position

The ideal candidate

  • DEC in Industrial Automation or Bachelor's degree in Automated Production

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role (bids, estimates, project management)

  • Member of the OIQ (an asset)

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English

  • Comfortable with the following suite Office

  • Proficient with ERP and CRM systems

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to read and understand:

    • Electrical control and diagrams power

    • Process Diagrams (P&ID)

  • Excellent writing skills
