Accounting Assistant

Under the direction of the Vice-President of Finance and Accounting, the incumbent supports the department by providing administrative and accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Vice-President in her daily tasks such as: managing the agenda, phone calls and emails; coordination of meetings and internal and external communication.

• Ensure various follow-ups with internal and external stakeholders, follow up on the actions to be undertaken and ensure their implementation;

• Prepare and revise presentations, correspondence and other documents.

• Responsible for all document management of the service (filing, digitization and archiving)

• Layout the company's quarterly and annual financial statements, including related notes

• Prepare expense reports and reconcile credit cards


• Education, diploma or experience in administrative support or accounting.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities.

• Experience in customer service.

• Good understanding of business accounting (payable, receivable, taxes, etc.).

• Mastery of Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams and Outlook software and the internet.

• Bilingualism (French-English), spoken and written; excellent ability to communicate and write in both languages.

• Experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory required or an equivalent combination.

• Ability to write reports and present information effectively.

• Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret a wide variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• Ability to set goals, meet deadlines and set priorities.

• Ability to generate ideas and find solutions.

• Ability to work both alone and in a team.

• Team spirit and propensity to help others.
