Candidate for the Engineering Profession in Transportation Planning and Traffic

Stantec is looking for an engineer to join its Transportation and Traffic Planning team in Montreal. You will participate in projects of different sizes in the field. More specifically, you will need:

responsibilities

  • Participate in transportation, traffic, transportation and road safety modeling studies;
  • Evaluate demand (road, public transit, etc.);
  • Simulate traffic conditions using Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc .;
  • Prepare traffic light plans (electrical programming and light signaling);
  • Write technical notes and reports;
  • Contribute to the preparation of service offers;
  • Participate in the production of control elements (report, progress report, etc.) to monitor projects;
  • Manage medium and small projects;
  • Communicate with customers and ensure their satisfaction;
  • Manage changes generated by customer requests, business requirements, and changes to project plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering;
  • Specialization in transport (asset);
  • 0 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Knowledge of transport and traffic planning software (AIMSUN, VISSIM, VISUM, Synchro / SimTraffic, Sidra or HCS) (asset);
  • Knowledge of computer-assisted drafting software (eg AutoCad) (asset);
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in French;
  • Knowledge of English (asset);
  • Ability in multidisciplinary teamwork.
