The Water Management Department opens its doors to Candidates for the Engineering Profession!

(2 year contract)

The Water Management Department's mission is to ensure the quality of water, the supply of drinking water and the treatment of wastewater in the Laval region. sewage treatment, drinking water production and monitoring the quality of the water supply, pumping stations and overflow works

You will have the opportunity to join a committed multidisciplinary technical team made up of engineers and technicians working on asset management under the Water Management Department. In support of the team, you will be actively involved in the search for optimal solutions for studies, design and supervision of works on water and wastewater treatment works.

The successful candidate will participate in various projects to repair the assets of the service. Among other things, he will participate in the production of various standards such as the identification of equipment, classification structure and archiving of technical documents related to projects. In addition, he will participate in the development of a service asset management plan.

From the ideas and to the construction site, the engineers from Laval, see and live in their projects.

You will also experience the supervision of the start-up of new technologies and innovate in the management of bids. You will be part of a multidisciplinary field team of qualified engineers and technicians. Here are the projects you could contribute to:

  • The construction of a chlorination station;
  • The replacement of several components, equipment and machinery to revitalize several pumping stations and install the wastewater and drinking water division.
  • Repair of several sewage pumping stations.

Our teams knew the history of their project and followed it to the plans as built. It is with this in mind that we want to assist you in developing your expertise in asset management project management!

The desired profile :

§ be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or be a candidate for the profession of engineer (CPI);

§ Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the field of water. A master's degree would be an asset;

§ Ability to work in projects involving multiple stakeholders

§ Good communication and autonomy;

§ Writing technical documents Possession of a class 5 driver's license and a vehicle (local travel required).

§ Possess an ASP construction map
