We are looking for an electrical engineer who will be the head of the Energy and Automation Networks department and will contribute to achieving our strategic objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the human, financial and material resources of the department and overseeing the progress of activities to achieve the operational efficiency objectives.
Specifically, the incumbent will be asked to:
• Supervise the realization of service activities and ensure adequate planning of resources in a productivity perspective • Lead and coordinate consulting services for electrical network studies (short circuit, power flow, coordination protections, danger of arc flash, harmonics, transients, modeling, co-ordination of insulation) and all other types of studies related to industrial and public networks • Maintain a high level of technical quality of the work carried out by the team • Monitor and evaluate employees under their supervision • Take charge of development projects aimed at structuring their department and the electrical discipline • Determine training needs and ensure the implementation and follow-up development plans • Maintain and develop the level of technical competence of the service • Ensure recruitment and hiring qualified personnel • Communicating BBA's vision and strategic directions to its team • Supporting the achievement of corporate objectives and participating in the development of the service's operational plan based on BBA's strategic directions • Participate in the development and implementation of standardized working methods • Ensure the planning, management and control of teams according to the degree of technical and commercial risk • Coordinate and share the management of service activities with the chiefs Team members and other department heads of discipline • Ensure sound management of human resources to maximize potential • Participate in the promotion and business development of its service both internally and externally • Prepare service offerings, studies, reports, plans, concepts, cost estimates and quotes • Manage and organize Work meetings • Ensure good coordination between teams and between departments • Establish and maintain effective communication with the various stakeholders involved in the activities of the department and act as a resource person for these stakeholders. p>

• University degree in electrical engineering • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers • Minimum of 12 years of experience (including five years in technical personnel management) • Recognized technical expertise in electrical networks energy and automation • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written • Intermediate computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite • Strength: experience within engineering consulting firms • Asset: knowledge of ETAP software , EMTP-RV, PSSE and MATLAB.BBA subscribe to Diversity andemployment equity.
