Reporting to the Superintendent – Mining Projects, you will be responsible for supporting mining projects in the execution phase and assisting the contractor in the planning of underground electrical work, as well as surface work related to underground projects . You will ensure that contractors’ work is in accordance with Raglan Mine specifications and standards. You will ensure the integration of new facilities and identify future needs to maintain and improve the electrical reliability of equipment. You will participate in the coordination of the engineering works or projects needed to maintain electrical installations in addition to coordinating and planning major electrical shutdowns to ensure the durability of electrical equipment.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering combined with five (5) years of relevant experience, ideally in the mining field, as well as being a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). You must know the codes and regulations governing electrical work. A working knowledge of English is required. Modular mining worker training (FMTM) can be considered an asset.
· Work shifts of 11 hours per day.
· Rotation schedule 2/2: equivalent to 2 consecutive weeks of work followed by 2 weeks of leave.
· Private Boeing transportation to and from Montreal, Quebec, Rouyn-Noranda and Inuit communities (depending on where you live) to get to the mine site.
