Engineer in lights and road lighting

GBi is looking for an electrical engineer for lighting and traffic light projects for our Pointe-aux-Trembles office. The Engineer will be required to actively participate in street lighting projects, sports fields, parking lots, bike lanes, parks, aerodrome runway markings and traffic lights on behalf of government departments. , cities, municipalities, and private developers.

Your main responsibilities will be :

  • Develop street lighting and fire hazard plans traffic;
  • Prepare plans and specifications for traffic lights, signage and projects related to road lighting systems;
  • Plan and organize projects assigned to them according to the company standards and ISO 9001 in accordance with the instructions and priorities established by the head of department;
  • Plan and monitor the execution of the mandate and coordination with other stakeholders the team respecting the schedule of deliverables and the budget allocated
  • Participate in the preparation of opportunity and pre-project studies;
  • Perform field surveys and surveys;
  • Act as technical advisor to the client;
  • Draw up plans, specifications, forms and other tender documents;
  • Participate in the preparation of work estimates, implementation schedules;
  • Provide work supervision, quality control, preparation of work tracking documents and payment recommendations.

Required skills:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or any other training deemed relevant;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Have 3 to 5 years relevant experience in lighting and traffic lights;
  • Relevant experience in consulting engineering;
  • Software knowledge: GDD, MS-Project, MS-Office Series , AGI32 (asset);
  • Conn standards of the Ministry of Transport, the City of Montreal and PWGSC (DDN)
  • Control of CSA, BNQ, IES and NEMA standards applied to lighting and traffic lights;
  • Significant experience in the study and preparation of contractual documents for lighting and traffic signal projects;
  • Holding the ASP construction card;
  • Mastering French at the same time 'oral only in writing;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
