YOUR DUTIES
- You will undertake the full responsibility of the hardware design aspects of complex and innovative products;
- You will supervise and follow-up all design activities made by Kontron external partners;
- You will lead feasibility studies and supervise preliminary trials;
- You will write-up a detailed product specification;
- You will analyze and select optimal components to meet or exceed desired performance, functionality, manufacturability and reliability criterias, while ensuring cost targets are met;
- You will design complete product schematics;
- You will respect design rules and establish new ones when necessary;
- You will write-up precise CAD instructions in respect to component placement and layout constraints;
- You will verify files/drawings (Gerber output) and related documentation used for printed circuit board manufacturing;
- You will define preliminary test tools required for the bring-up and verification phases;
- You will define test plans needed for hardware design verification testing;
- You will carry out the prototype bring-up phase and supervise functional verification. You will debug all bugs encountered;
- You will carry out product validation, including signal characterization;
- You will proceed with a seamless and harmonious product transfer to production;
- You will design complete FPGA solution for the Hardware team;
- You will develop high speed signal integrity simulation expertise;
THE IDEAL SKILLS
- Education: University degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Specialization: Electronics (preferably);
- Experience:
· Junior: Between 0 and 3 years of experience;
· Intermediate: Between 3 and 7 years of experience;
· Senior: More than 7 years of experience;
- Knowledge: Digital design and C programming, very good knowledge of hardware and software architecture of the PC (PCIe, USB, DDR4) and electrical constraints rules; Python scripting;
- Assets: Carried out significant technical projects and experience with switching power supplies; good knowledge of Mentor Graphics and Cadence/Allegro design tools; knowledge of Agile development process;
- Profile: Contributor to a positive and constructive work atmosphere, excellent team player, creative, resourceful, proactive, great adaptability;
- Languages: French and English (speak and write fluently).
