Mechanical Engineer Energy Sector - New Graduate

Your role will be to contribute to the preparation of proposals, engineering works, technological choices and the realization of mechanical and multidisciplinary projects in the mining sector, energy and heavy industrial. By joining our team, you will be more specifically, to: • Analyze, understand and solve technical problems of various kinds in the field of mechanics and industrial piping • Actively participate in the realization of multidisciplinary mandates of small, medium or large scale within a team engineers and technicians • Conduct detailed design or engineering assignments for clients with existing facilities or for clients who wish to expand or construct new facilities • Prepare plans and specifications from guidelines in the context of mandates related to mechanics; • Perform calculations; • Prepare lists and slips of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other methods established in accordance with the requirements of the quality system defined by the company; • Perform technical information statements at clients; • Assist more experienced staff in technical aspects of more complex tasks; • Occasionally coordinating the work of draftsmen or other non-professionals at the request of a senior engineer; • Occasionally supervise contractors on the job site.Work schedule: 37.5Competencies: • Be proactive • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and be able to self-develop • Be good at communication and interpersonal skills; • Have the ability to adapt • Be creative and innovative in providing solutions.Requirements: • University degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering; • 0 to 3 years of experience • Member registered or able to be at OIQ • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite and other applications, databases and interfaces; • Relevant experience in the industrial sector • Good knowledge in one or more of the following fields of application: pumping, HVAC, dedusting, thermal systems, conveyor systems and process equipment • Availability for travel between the offices of Mont-Saint -Hilaire and Montreal occasionally • Availability for short-term (mandatory) and long-term assignments (asset) for our clients in Quebec and the rest of Canada • Strength: Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, AFT Fathom applications, Ansys and MS Office; • Asset: ASP Construction Card • Asset: Mechanical experience in the industrial, energy or mining sector • Asset: Bilingualism (English, French) .BBA is committed to promoting diversity and employment equity .
