Project Manager - Real Estate

Job Description:

GBi is looking for a Senior Project Manager, who will report to the Vice President of Environment and Project Management, Real Estate, within our project management team. The project manager will be actively involved in projects of various sizes as well as projects on behalf of public clients and private developers.

Your main responsibilities will be:

· Assure, in collaboration with the project manager, the financial management of projects (budget monitoring, forecasts, billing, management, production of progress reports, etc.);

· Plan and control project costs and schedules;

· Maintain and manage timelines;

· Plan, organize and carry out various studies, research or specialized work to clarify the scope of projects in the real estate sector;

· Develop work plan and define deliverables according to established PMI methods;

· Participate in the drafting of documents related to calls for tenders, requests for opening of offices and requests for changes, follow up and issue reminders;

· Prepare, review and submit submitted contract documents and participate in all project management correspondence;

· Follow the internal procedures for setting up project management mechanisms;

· Collaborate in identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve the workplace and some strategic projects;

· Lead and attend project meetings;

· Negotiate contracts and directives and manage budgets in collaboration with the project team;

· Follow up on deadlines, budgets and works;

· Develop quotes for the selection of professionals and entrepreneurs

· Support project managers in the coordination of their projects;

Required skills:

· Have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or any other discipline deemed relevant;

· Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;

· Have a minimum of 8 years experience in project management and engineering;

· Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate industry;

· Hold PMP Continuing Certifications or Postgraduate Project Management Training;

· Proficient with Office Suite software, MS Project software and other project management software;

· Demonstrate strong project management and methodology skills;

· Developed skills in interpersonal skills and communication;

· Demonstrate rigor and integrity;

· Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines;

· Ability to work both independently and in a team;

· Be bilingual (French and English);
