Senior Engineer - Road Engineering

Mission

As part of CIMA +'s growth approach, our road engineering team is looking for a senior engineer or senior engineer with significant experience in design projects and road geometry. The person sought will have demonstrated technical capabilities and will be considered as a reference in his field in the design of road projects. Responsibilities

  • Act as technical leader in road engineering
  • Conduct studies, reports, technical advice, plans and specifications, and road design documents
  • Design road engineering projects (geometry, profile, pavement structure, earthworks and drainage)
  • Represent the road engineering discipline when holding a multidisciplinary meeting
  • Undertake the preparation of specific technical studies, feasibility and pre-project pre-projects
  • Solve complex technical issues requiring research, in-depth analysis and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Provide ingenious solutions by initiating experimentation with new approaches and applying design criteria in innovative ways
  • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and technicians in the projects under his responsibility
  • Write reports and prepare technical opinions
  • Participate in the design and / or verification of the design of opportunity studies, pre-projects, plans and specifications of road projects according to the customer's requirements and the standards in force
  • Coordinate road design with complementary disciplines involved in the project

Wanted profile

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of roads, especially in road geometry
  • Mastery of provincial and national standards in the field
  • Mastering road design tools
  • Have experience designing and implementing projects
  • Have experience in a consulting engineering firm in the road sector (a considerable asset)
  • Be able to move regularly in project office (Dorval)
  • Be able to work in interaction with stakeholders from various professional fields (engineers from different disciplines, architects, building contractors, etc.)
