As a senior structural inspection technician , come and play an expert role at Stantec, a leading engineering firm that brings together 22,000 employees in more than 400 offices and one of the top 10 design firms in the world. In Quebec, we have 1,500 employees in more than 20 offices.
Assigned to the various mandates obtained in inspection of bridge structures, culverts or gates in the metropolitan area, you will be required to spend a lot of time outside the office and to implement the procedures of inspection using rope access techniques or lifting equipment (nacelle, etc.). The inspection work sometimes runs at night and / or weekends.
Your main responsibilities
Review the condition and behavior of the components of the structure, document them with notes and photographs, and recommend repair or maintenance activities;
Participate in the inspection and inventory of existing structures (bridges, culverts, walls, sign structures, etc.);
Determine the repairs to be made (quantity, activity, etc.);
Produce an inspection report;
Participate in damage records;
Your experience and skills
Diploma of Collegial Studies in Civil Engineering;
Minimum of 5-15 years of relevant experience in structures;
Relevant experience in structural inspection; ASP Construction Card;
Possess a valid driver's license and a car (frequent travel);
Mastery of Autocad;
Mastering French (both orally and in writing);
Have taken the "Structure Inspection" course of the MTQ;
Able to work in height and in confined spaces;
Available to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
