Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our AKVO subsidiary. With its undeniable presence in the market for movable pool floors, Akvo Spiralift has become the North American leader in the design and manufacture of robust and fully customizable solutions.

Working with a team of approximately 10 people, your main responsibilities will be:

• Establish the technical feasibility of projects
• Perform calculations and validate structural drawings using MatCad and Solidworks;
• Support the Drafting/Design team, ensuring that the quality level meets company standards;
• Correct manufacturing drawings and technical plans for the various project components;
• Conduct experimental tests to validate technical solutions or mechanical designs;
• Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions;

Skills and qualifications required to succeed in your role:

• 4 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and OIQ membership
• Knowledge of methods for calculating material strength and motorization
• Knowledge of SolidWorks software (an asset)
• Knowledge of MatCad software (an asset)
• Analytical skills
