Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.
Responsibilities:
• Support your operational team by providing your expertise in programming numerical control machine tools
o Interact daily with operators to obtain regular feedback for better understanding of needs
o Coach operators to enhance their understanding of programming
• Use the RPO (Operational Problem Resolution) tool to solve various issues and determine actions to take to correct any deviation, Non-Conformity, or breakdown to restore operations to their nominal state
o Analyze indicators and data provided by maintenance
o Identify the root cause
o Analyze various alternatives
o Find and validate the optimal solution
o Follow up
• Implement continuous improvement projects based on various results (RTA, OLE, etc.)
• Perform the necessary programming for the improvement or revision of an existing program based on various results (RTA, OLE, etc.) according to the standard process in line with P04 and P05
o Define the needs
o Establish the modifications to be made to the program, conduct risk analysis and recommendations on feasibility
o Create an initial program and test it
o Conduct risk analysis (FMEA)
o Make final adjustments (Closed-Door Machining mode, ergonomics, etc.) and finalize the program based on needs and constraints,
o Verify the program and conduct final tests
o Update all necessary documentation for the "Sealed Process"
o Update systems
o Put the new revision of the program into production
• Analyze and use data obtained from various software (Artis, Third Wave, Optipath, etc.) to improve programs.
• Ensure the application of "sealed process" criteria.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new products with manufacturing engineering
• Participate in the analysis, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies to improve productivity in collaboration with manufacturing engineering programmers.
• Apply various operational procedures and suggest improvements
• If needed, support the other operational team Machining
Requirements:
• DEC in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or aeronautical construction or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of experience in numerical control programming
Technical skills:
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process, machining of aeronautical parts, and capabilities of machine tools
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Mastery of CAD software Catia V5 (solid modeling, surface modeling, drafting, tolerancing, and CNC programming) and Vericut
• Knowledge of cutting tools
• Mastery of PDM and Smarteam software
• Knowledge of metrology and dimensional control methods
• Analytical mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
