Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Location: Greater Montreal

Status: Permanent, Full-Time Position

The Role

Our client, a recognized organization in the energy and electrical infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to strengthen its technical team. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze overhead and underground transmission lines (structures, conductors, foundations)
• Conduct mechanical and electrical load studies according to applicable standards (CSA, IEEE, NESC)
• Supervise and review plans, specifications, and technical documents
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams
• Provide site supervision and technical support during construction
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers on the team
• Participate in client and regulatory relations

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line design
• Proficiency in specialized software
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingualism (French/English)
