Our client is a small but rapidly growing high-end residential renovation company, offering a creative, hands-on and think-outside-the-box work environment. They are well-established, well-respected and recognized within the industry.

Role Overview

They are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead the full execution of complex renovation projects. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with end-to-end accountability for planning, coordination, on-site execution, client experience, and post-project performance review.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Operations

• Oversee all phases of renovation projects from pre-construction through final completion • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards
• Conduct regular site visits and manage daily construction activities
• Technical abilit - understand building codes and provide practical advice when problems occur
• Lead project kickoff meetings, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively
• Maintain accurate project tracking and reporting using project management software

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise internal project staff and operational support resources (3–4 up to 6–8 carpenters and laborers)
• Assign tasks, review work, and ensure accountability
• Coordinate scheduling, documentation, and workflow execution
• Identify performance or operational risks and escalate as required

Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle • Manage expectations related to scope, timelines, and changes
• Communicate proactively regarding progress, delays, and solutions
• Lead deficiency management and ensure smooth project closeout

Change Orders & Revenue Opportunities

•  Identify, document, and manage project changes and additional work
• Coordinate costing, approvals, and execution of extras
• Ensure change orders are tracked accurately and aligned with project objectives

Pre-Construction & Planning

• Participate in site assessments and measurement visits
• Review plans, drawings, schedules, and project documentation for accuracy
• Validate trade sequencing, scope, and readiness prior to construction start
• Suggest ideas using creativity 

Deficiency & Closeout Management

• Lead deficiency walkthroughs and punch list management
• Coordinate resolution with trades and internal teams
• Ensure completion aligns with client expectations and quality standards

Post-Project Review

• Prepare detailed project performance summaries
• Analyze schedule adherence, deficiencies, and team/trade performance
• Identify lessons learned and recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in residential renovation or construction
• Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills
• Excellent client-facing communication and conflict-resolution abilities
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, trades, and timelines concurrently
• High attention to detail and strong operational discipline
• Creative & outside-the-box thinking 
• Experience with digital project management tools
• Experience with Monday.com, procore and/or plangrid is an asset
• Bilingual English & French
• Experience in Design is a great asset (high-end kitchen - bathroom)
