You will perform and coordinate studies and project analyses related to instrumentation and control for municipal infrastructures. Additionally, as part of certain tasks, you will be responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws, and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting studies related to municipal infrastructure installation projects, evaluating files based on the information obtained, drawing conclusions, and writing related reports;
- Meeting and informing internal and external stakeholders (contractors, external consulting firms), and others, regarding information or directives related to studies, service requests, development projects, construction projects, maintenance projects, and borrowing regulations in preparation;
- Analyzing the current situation, conducting needs analysis, designing operation, control, automation, measurement, industrial safety, process control, automatic operation, alarm systems, etc. according to client needs;
- Making recommendations and designing in the field of control systems, automated management center, digital information system, data transmission, including detection and information analysis systems;
- Participating in the preparation and verification of submissions within the framework of selection committees in the professional mandate awarding process;
- Conducting field visits to validate and coordinate the design of municipal works and to assess the impacts on existing users. Performing, as needed, on-site or partial monitoring during the execution of works;
- Developing schedules, establishing project or work tracking mechanisms, cost control for projects or works under study and/or in progress, and determining modifications or changes to be made.
- Hold a university degree in electrical engineering or automated production management or any other relevant bachelor's degree - specialization in industrial control, automation, and instrumentation. A specialization in network communication and industrial IT security will be considered an asset;
- Have six (6) years of experience in Instrumentation and control in the field of plants, including:
- Measurements, analysis, and process control;
- Pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and digital equipment;
- Preventive maintenance of equipment and systems;
- Centralized process management system;
- Ventilation system for processes;
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- Hold a valid driver's license and have a vehicle;
- Possess an ASP card.
