Director of Engineering and R&D

Our client is an innovative company looking to fill the key position of Engineering Manager. Based in Laval, QC.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the engineering team and the successful execution of technical projects.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the continued development of various projects and products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of talented engineers, ensuring they have the resources and environment necessary for success.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to achieve corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure project coordination and alignment.
• Participate in the planning, monitoring, and control of technical projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and on budget.
• Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to ensure the efficiency and quality of deliverables.
• Continuously monitor technology to stay up to date on new trends and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in engineering
• OIQ a definite asset
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• Prior experience in team management,
• Strong technical skills in at least one specific engineering field.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and achieve set objectives.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive knowledge of safety standards and engineering regulations.
