Mechanical assembler

Job Description

The mechanical assembler has the main responsibility of assembling components in order to create and manufacture assembly and automation equipment/machines.

Orientech designs and manufactures custom automation equipment for a variety of industries, now with nearly 30 years of existence.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the mechanical assembler will be responsible for participating in the manufacture of this equipment, but also for ensuring its proper functioning.

Tasks & job responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components by interpreting assembly plans
• Actively participate in the production and manufacturing of custom-made components, which may require, among other things: cutting, drilling and machining of components
• Start up equipment in concert with other team members and various departments to ensure its operation
• Perform and participate, as needed, in the installation and start-up of equipment assembled at the customer's premises, mainly located in North America (to be discussed with the candidate)
• Follow and apply occupational health and safety standards
• Perform any other related tasks required

Requirements & Required skills

• DEP in Industrial Mechanics, Welding, Machining Techniques or other related
• More than 5 years of experience as an industrial mechanical assembler is an asset
• Excellent understanding of CAD drawings (reading and interpretation) -Advocates teamwork, while being very autonomous and versatile -Good ability to work under pressure -Knowledge of: Welding, Manufacturing of parts (machining), Electricity are an asset.

• Asset - More than 5 years of experience
• Asset - Available for installations / travel
