Agronomist / Agricultural engineer (intermediate / senior)

Groupe Conseil UDA is looking for an  agronomist or agricultural engineer  (intermediate or senior) to complete its multidisciplinary team composed of agricultural, forestry and geological engineers, agronomists, biologists, geographers, geomatics specialists and technicians.

The person will act as a project manager in the preparation of authorization applications with the Commission de protection du territoire agricole du Québec (CPTAQ), as well as in agricultural monitoring, supervision and follow-up for various projects.

The position can be attached to our Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu office or offered in telework up to 100% of the time (the mandates are mainly in the greater Montreal area and Montérégie).

Job-related responsibilities

• Write project notices or environmental authorization requests (MELCCFP) or CPTAQ request;
• Write technical reports related to environmental regulations;
• Write agricultural studies, agronomic monitoring/supervision reports;
• Compile and analyze data from soil, water, etc. samples;
• Establish diagnoses and develop recommendations by writing reports;
• Prepare service offers;
• Act as a technical expert in agronomy and support for company projects;
• Work in collaboration with all company departments to carry out projects;
• Promote and implement the occupational health and safety prevention program.

Requirements and training

• Agronomist (member of the OAQ) or agricultural engineer (member of the OAQ and OIQ);
• Graduate with a BAC in agronomy or related field;
• More than five (5) years of relevant professional experience;
• Ability to communicate in French orally and in writing;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Knowledge of the construction environment, submission and tender processes (assets);
• Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail, ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment;
• Advanced knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
