Building Mechanical Engineer

Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, you perform and coordinate studies and analyses of projects related to ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration of the City’s buildings. Additionally, as part of certain tasks, you are responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws, and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

You collaborate in the implementation and execution of work carried out under contract, management, and administration. To this end, you coordinate and ensure the technical and administrative link between the project owner and the Service management. You provide applicants with all relevant information regarding your area of expertise.

• Education acquired through a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
• Have six (6) years of relevant experience in the role;
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• In all phases of project development and work: needs assessment, scope establishment, estimates and schedules creation, providing comments related to mechanical design, coordination with various stakeholders, monitoring and inspection of work during execution, training and knowledge transfer to the operator;
• In energy conservation and energy efficiency;
• In technical advice and follow-ups;
• Possess a PMP certificate, an asset;
• Hold a valid class 5 driver's license and have a car;
• Hold an ASP card.
