Project Manager for Large-Scale Projects

STATUS: Permanent

SALARY: Class 12 – from $98,620.98 to $129,725.01 / year

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30

WORKING MODE: Hybrid

The challenges that await you

Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the project manager for large-scale projects is responsible for the implementation of large-scale projects led by the Service. More specifically, the incumbent will be tasked with planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of project management for which they are responsible, in accordance with the governance framework for large-scale projects and programs of the City of Laval. They will be responsible for ensuring collaboration among all stakeholders, closely monitoring timelines, and acting as the accountable party to maximize efficiency in terms of costs, deadlines, scope, and quality of work.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture;
  • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or the Ordre des architectes du Québec;
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction field, including 5 years in managing large-scale projects corresponding to the following specifications:
    • Having significantly participated in a project valued at $50M in present value;
    • Having served as project manager for several phases of a large-scale or highly complex project;
    • Having closely collaborated on the startup of a project (needs assessment, preliminary schedule, transfer and management of professional service contracts, etc.);
    • Experience in the industrial field is an asset;
  • Have a good knowledge and have significantly participated in a project in an alternative mode, an asset;
  • Experience in an operated environment or in a 24/7 operational context, an asset;
  • Knowledge of 3D visualization tools;
  • Proficient in MS Office suite tools, including Microsoft Project.
