Estimator Engineer

Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, you are responsible for providing project cost estimation services, developing databases, and keeping them up to date. You establish the levels of accuracy for estimates according to the different recognized classes, all based on project phases and available information. You conduct market analysis and take into account all factors affecting costs. You contribute to identifying internal and external factors affecting costs and propose to the project manager the best bidding strategies leading to an optimal project cost.

• Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
• Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering;
• Have ten (10) years of relevant experience in the role, particularly in:
  • Estimation of large-scale construction projects
  • Development of estimation databases and estimation tools
  • Analysis and development of estimation methods
• Have knowledge of software and tools such as Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, RSMeans, etc.
