Based in Montreal, NūMove is a manufacturer and integrator of robotic systems and industrial automation solutions. We develop robust and innovative technologies thanks to our expertise in design, programming, software development and artificial vision.

We assemble and program our systems directly in our 32,000 square foot workshop before commissioning them at our customers' premises. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate and build relationships with suppliers capable of providing compliant materials with short lead times and favorable delivery terms.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including price, delivery times and payment terms. Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing team to finalize agreements.
  • Supplier Management: Select suppliers. Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage supplier performance. Address any issues that may arise during the procurement process and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Supplier Quality: Ensure supplier quality and track non-conforming parts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop sourcing strategies that align with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to long-lead items, such as supply chain disruptions, and develop risk mitigation plans. Stay informed of market fluctuations and take proactive measures to minimize impact on project timelines. Maintain a risk and opportunity register and use it to improve the risk profile of the procurement project.
  • Contractual Agreements: Ensure that the purchase order or purchase contract is properly executed. Review and negotiate changes along the way. Follow up on the delivery of orders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders and supplier communications. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in a similar position;
  • AEC or DEC in procurement, bachelor's degree in engineering, or an equivalent diploma;
  • Very good knowledge of French and English;
  • Proficiency in the office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Experience with integrated management software (ERP);
  • Knowledge of procurement and shipping tools;
  • Experience in the complete purchase of complex and high-value equipment;
  • Attention to detail, versatility, teamwork and great ability to concentrate;
  • Excellent skills in communicate in writing and verbally;
  • Autonomy, analytical mind and ability to manage tight deadlines;

ASSET

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience working with global suppliers;
  • Knowledge of Infor Syteline software;
