Senior Mechanical Integrator

Senior Mechanical Integrator

The mechanical integrator is under the supervision of the project manager and is supported by the team leader of his or her discipline with the help of technical and innovation experts.

The mechanical integrator is responsible for monitoring the tasks and resources assigned to a project specific to his or her area of expertise. He or she must assess the staffing needs and monitor progress with the members of his or her project team, while maintaining communications with the other integrators of the project.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validate and confirm the deliverables of the sub-projects assigned to him or her;
  • Validate and confirm the budgets and deadlines assigned to him or her;
  • Eliminate blockers that may affect the project;
  • Ensure the harmonization of systems and components used in the same project;
  • Confirm and monitor integration schedules while harmonizing actions with integrators from other disciplines;
  • Monitor the progress of resources on their respective sub-projects and update weekly monitoring of tasks assigned to his discipline, both financial and deadlines;
  • Ensure that the team's resources are sufficiently numerous, trained and qualified for the needs of the project and, if necessary, escalate any situation deemed problematic to his supervisor and the project manager;
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to resolve certain specific issues;
  • Ensure that the standards established by the company are rigorously followed while questioning the status quo in order to improve our equipment and processes;
  • Communicate all changes or improvements encountered during the project to the product development department so that subsequent projects can benefit from them;
  • Participate in client meetings to present various documents;
  • Participate in coordination meetings;
  • Participate in the post-mortem of projects.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a technique in its discipline combined with relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project execution in the manufacturing industry or distribution centers, with 5 to 7 years of experience in its discipline;
  • Mastery of conveyor systems for industrial applications;
  • Perfect knowledge of French;
  • Very good knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and the Office suite according to its predominant discipline;
  • Great autonomy (must be demonstrated by concrete achievements and must highlight the monitoring of mandates, budgets and deadlines);
  • Ability to work in a team ;
  • Good ability to communicate effectively with team members in a complex project context;
  • Availability to travel occasionally outside the metropolitan area.
