Application Engineer - Sales Support

Based in Montreal, NūMove is a manufacturer and integrator of robotic systems and industrial automation solutions. We develop robust and innovative technologies thanks to our expertise in design, programming, software development and artificial vision.

We assemble and program our systems directly in our 32,000 square foot workshop before commissioning them at our customers' premises. Application Engineer/Sales Support

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales and Business Development, the Application Engineer/Internal Sales Advisor will have the following responsibilities and skills:

RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Qualify opportunities;

▪ Follow the sales process;

▪ Keep the tracking table of all projects in submission up to date;

▪ Review tender documents and customer specifications;

▪ Analyze customer production data;

▪ Participate in brainstorming sessions to define concepts;

▪ Develop layout drawings of possible solutions;

▪ Coordinate activities and stakeholders for project estimates;

▪ Supports project cost estimates;

▪ Collaborate with the product development team to determine prices and solutions;

▪ Plan the various meetings required in the sales process with the various stakeholders;

▪ Contact external suppliers to obtain the prices required to complete the estimates;

▪ Evaluate the profitability, liquidity scenario and duration of the project;

▪ Prepare service offers;

▪ Participate in calls with the client at different stages of the sales process;

▪ Make presentations to clients ;

▪ Produce PowerPoint presentations;

▪ Participate in industrial trade shows;

▪ Visit certain customers;

▪ Collaborate in establishing annual sales objectives;

▪ Collaborate with the communications/marketing team to develop various tasks (brochures, videos, product sheets, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

▪ DEC or Bachelor's degree in engineering, or other equivalent training;

▪ Experience in the automation, industrial robotics, equipment design and digital vision sectors;

▪ Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry;

▪ Very good knowledge of robotics for handling applications ;

▪ Perfect knowledge of French, both spoken and written;

▪ Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written, because the nature of the position requires frequent communication with clients, suppliers and partners outside Quebec;

▪ Very good knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

▪ Very strong ability to manage multiple files in parallel;

▪ Very strong ability to meet tight deadlines;

▪ Very strong ability to adapt to changing priorities;

▪ Very easy to establish a relationship with clients;

▪ Very good ability to work in a team;

▪ Be available to travel outside the region occasionally metropolitan area (Canada and United States).

ASSETS

▪ Ability to use 2D drawing software such as AutoCAD / DraftSight;

▪ Ability to use the Infor CloudSuite ERP system;

▪ Ability to produce PowerPoint presentations.
