After-sales service programmer

We assemble and program our systems directly in our 32,000 square foot workshop before commissioning them at our customers' premises. After-Sales Service Programmer

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the After-Sales Service Coordinator, the After-Sales Service (ASV) Programmeracts as the first responder to service calls and makes emergency or planned trips to NūMove customers to resolve technical issues or deploy improvements to the systems supported by NūMove. The SAV programmer is also called upon to contribute to the programming, simulation, integration and commissioning of robots/PLC/HMI in a robotic cell at NūMove and at the end customer.

  • Take service calls on the front line;
  • Support customers in resolving problems with their system;
  • Travel outside the country to customers when necessary;
  • Participate in project start-ups and provide customer support;
  • Perform robot and/or PLC programming in an automated cell.

Working conditions:

  • Be responsible for support contracts (first responder of the 24/7 service phone) for customers who have subscribed to a plan ;
  • Be able to travel to customers with or without notice:
    • Service calls: up to 10 weeks per year;
    • Warranty support: up to 10 weeks per year;
    • Start-up of NūMove systems: up to 10 weeks per year.
  • Perform PLC programming, robot programming, configuration of communication modules and integration into an automated cell;
  • Participate in project start-ups.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • DEC in automation, robotics or electrical engineering, BAC in electrical engineering, or in automated production management, or in robotics engineering, or in a related discipline;
  • Three to five years minimum experience in the automation and machine manufacturing sector;
  • Good knowledge and experience in several of the following specialties:
  • PLC (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Siemens);
  • Robot (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Kuka);
  • Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profibus);
  • Human machine interface & SCADA (Factory Talk View, Wonderware);
  • Reading electrical and pneumatic plans;
  • Troubleshooting automated systems.
  • Have a good analytical and team spirit;
  • Good communication and developed organizational skills;
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness and initiative;
  • Be available to carry out installation and start-up work outside the metropolitan area and outside the province and the country;
  • Hold a valid driver's license;
  • Have a reliable car for metropolitan travel;
  • Hold a valid passport;
  • Perfect knowledge of French, spoken and written;
  • Functional English, given that the nature of the position, interaction with clients located in the United States and English Canada.

ASSET

  • Relevant experience in the industry related to robotization;
  • Knowledge of industrial computing an asset (C#, VB, SQL);
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Pro suite (Power Bi, Power automate, etc.);
  • Relevant experience with 3D printing systems;
