Buyer / Procurement Officer

We are currently seeking a Buyer/Procurement Officer to join our team.

The main responsibilities will be to:

• Manage the product purchasing process;
• Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with the scope, cost, delivery, and quality criteria defined by the various internal departments (engineering, planning, production, quality, accounting, etc.);
• Ensure to be an effective liaison between these departments and suppliers, and to participate in the continuous improvement of services provided to the group.

Desired Profile:

• Completed university or college studies in supply chain management or other equivalent fields;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Fluency in English and French;
• A keen interest in and aptitude for learning in a technical field;
• Ability to compare and analyze a variety of offers from suppliers providing different technical solutions;
• Ability to make recommendations and select suppliers based on a detailed needs analysis and meeting the various quality criteria established by the different departments;
• Knowledge of manufacturing management tools (MRP) and computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite);
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
