Environmental and geotechnical site technician

Main challenges

Within an agency made up of engineers, technicians, survey teams and assistants, you work on a variety of projects.

With the supervision of the Head of the Investigations department, your missions will be as follows:

  • Assistance to project managers and engineers in the preparation, organization and monitoring of construction sites;
  • Preparation and organization of construction sites: implementation, monitoring and surveying of surveys in the field, elevation of surveys, taking of samples for environmental analyses, monitoring of environmental rehabilitation sites, etc.;
  • Geological reconnaissance and carrying out geotechnical tests in the field
  • The carrying out and interpretation of geotechnical tests (trenching, foundation reconnaissance, etc.) The analysis of in situ tests;
  • Assistance to drilling teams (supply of equipment, management of stock of consumables, etc.)

Skills and personal qualities 

  • Be rigorous and organized;
  • Demonstrate autonomy to follow current projects from establishing the quote, monitoring the project, writing the report, invoicing and collecting from the client;</li >
  • Know how to communicate with customers both technically and commercially. ;
  • Have a good capacity for analysis, synthesis and priority management;
  • Have an excellent command of French and English (oral and written).

Required experience and requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • You master numerous IT tools such as Excel, Word and AutoCad;
  • Curious by nature and with a good capacity for adaptation, you know how to manage hazards. You particularly like the field and teamwork;
  • ASP Construction card (an asset;
  • You are available, demonstrate good team spirit and strong leadership;
  • You are fluent in French and English;
  • Driver’s license is required for the position.

Training

  • DEC in Civil Engineering, Geology or Environment or equivalent,

  • Remuneration according to experience and skills.
