PCB Assemblies Electrical Qualification Specialist

Kontron Canada is looking for a PCB Assemblies Electrical Qualification Specialist to perform product design reviews, coordinate and execute electric qualification tests on PCB assemblies.  This specialist will also contribute to different design projects for high performance servers used in avionics, the medical and industrial fields (HMI, rugged box PC), transport (autonomous vehicles) and telecommunications (Data Center, Edge, 5G).

If you are interested in playing a key role in defining PCBA electrical qualification strategies and in deploying/managing a team to perform these different qualification tasks, this role is for you.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, good communication skills and will be adept at managing tasks and priorities. He(She) must be a specialist in the various technical aspects required for our products to meet the various standards and certifications targeted. He(She) must also be a good team player with a great sense of responsibility.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:

  • You will participate in design reviews and test target definition needed to meet requirements;
  • You will design test scenarios to verify the functionality of engineering prototypes;
  • You will participate in the start-up and verification of engineering prototypes;
  • You will execute the qualification and validation of engineering prototypes;
  • You will identify technical problems and work closely with Developers to find the best solutions to efficiently solve the design flaws;
  • You will provide qualification and validation reports on the prototypes;
  • Finally, you will actively participate in the continuous improvement of the validation strategy.

 

YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:

  • Education: Diploma of collegial studies (DCS) in the electronic related field or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar experience;
  • Experience: Ideally at least 5 years;
  • Knowledge:
    • Comfortable using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope and logic analyzer;
    • Good knowledge of computer architecture and related interfaces such as: PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet and others;
  • Assets:
    • Experience in product certification for AS9100, DO160, ISO13485 and/or ISO26262;
    • Programming with Python;
    • Basic knowledge of Linux;
  • Languages: French and English (written and spoken). Functional English is required due to various multidisciplinary tasks including notably communications and technical documents with international suppliers, the corporate headquarter and sister companies in the Kontron group.
